The purpose for homework is for children to learn to manage their time, develop work and study skills, prepare them for secondary school and to reinforce new learning.
There are 3 different groups for homework, depending on your child's spelling ability.
I will put a list of homework groups on the classroom notice board so students know what group they are in.
Term 2
Week 9
Homework has been sent via email this week. I have sent it to each student and they will be able to access this at school and at home via their Gmail account. I will go over this process at school tomorrow.
Students are required to fill in a table with information about themselves, Create a shopping list on the countdown online shopping website while keeping to a budget. They also have a fun activity to complete as well.

There is homework this week, but I accidentally deleted my digital copy :(
Spare copies are available in class.
Week 7
As it is a short week this week, I will not be giving out a homework sheet.
Students will need to continue working on their science fair projects and keeping a log of everything they do and observe at home. They also need to continue to practise their times tables and read for at least 15 minutes every night.

Chinese Homework
P2 have started Chinese this term. As part of this exciting opportunity, students may be given extra homework. I have asked our Chinese tutor to let me know when she gives out homework, so that I can add it to this page.
Week 1 and 2
Compete the Homework sheet and the attached maths sheet as well.
Week 9
Students were asked to issue a Non-Fiction book from the school library this week.
As it is a short week, their homework is a lot easier this week.
Students are required to fill out a worksheet about their non-fiction book.
Week 7 & 8
Week 6 (I have decided not to give homework for Week 4 as Students need time to prepare for camp.)

This week we are getting to know each other in P2.
As part of this focus, students have been asked to find at least 5 things that they can fit in a paper bag that are special to them. They can be photos, real objects, magazine cut-outs, etc. I have encourage them to be creative :)
This weeks homework is due on Wednesday the 11th of February. On this day we will take time to share and talk about what each person has in their paper bag and why they chose to put it in there.
